Our materials / The story before the product

A better story
in every material.

A coffee ground. A discarded bottle. A natural fibre. From clothing to merchandise and packaging, every product starts with a material choice. We care about that beginning, the people who shape it, and what happens long after it leaves us.

01 / Materials

What if the end
was a beginning?

Our recycled fabric range starts with materials that already exist. Recovering those resources gives them a new purpose and reduces the need for virgin inputs.

A second life, woven in

Waste becomes
something worth wearing.

Two different starting points.
One shared idea: keep resources in use.

01 / Recycled coffee polyester

Your morning coffee.
A different kind of energy.

Used coffee grounds collected from cafés in Taiwan are combined with yarn made from recycled PET bottles. The grounds are incorporated into the yarn’s surface through a low-temperature, high-pressure process.

The result is a technical fabric developed for quick drying and odour management. It’s a reminder that an everyday leftover can be the beginning of something useful.

From grounds to garment
  1. Used coffee grounds are collected.
  2. Recovered PET is processed into recycled yarn.
  3. Coffee grounds are incorporated into the yarn surface.
  4. The yarn becomes fabric, ready to cut, sew and wear.
02 / Recycled polyester

A bottle’s next chapter.
Your team’s next favourite.

Post-consumer PET bottles can become recycled polyester. Sorting, cleaning and processing turn that recovered plastic into the building blocks of new yarn.

Recycling keeps an existing resource moving through the system. We consider performance and longevity too, so your team gets clothing that works for the way they wear it.

What to look for

Check the recycled percentage, material source and product-specific certification. We prioritise Global Recycled Standard options where available and can help clarify the details of your shortlist.

Grown by nature. Chosen with care.

Some of the best ideas
were here all along.

Natural fibres bring their own character to clothing. The growing, sourcing and blend matter just as much as the name on the label.

Cotton

Softness, with a considered beginning.

Organic cotton starts with how the crop is grown. We prioritise certified organic options, including GOTS, and look at the garment’s composition and supply story.

Comfortable everyday tees and team essentials are a natural home for this fibre. Choose the weight and finish around how your team will use them.

Hemp

A fibre made for the long run.

Hemp is a fast-growing plant with a strong, durable fibre. It can be blended with cotton to balance its distinctive character with softness and comfort.

We prioritise organic cotton where it is used in a blend. Look at the complete composition to understand what your garment is made from.

Wool

Natural comfort. Thoughtful sourcing.

Wool is a renewable natural fibre valued for comfort and odour management. Its origin is an important part of its story.

We look for responsible sourcing options, including ZQ and ZQRX where available. These programmes bring attention to animal welfare, people, land and regenerative practice.

02 / Making

Care is in
the making.

The fabric is only the beginning. Your branding should look good, work with the material and stand up to being worn again.

We weigh the finish, durability and process together, then recommend a method for your garment and design.

Sublimation

Colour is transferred into suitable polyester fabric using heat. It enables detailed, all-over designs and is part of our custom technical apparel offering.

Screen printing

A considered choice for bold designs and repeat runs. Our approach includes water-based ink options, selected to suit the fabric and artwork.

Embroidery

A textured finish for logos and workwear. We consider the thread, stitch density and garment, including rayon viscose thread options from renewable raw materials.

Supacolour transfers

Water-based transfer options help bring detailed logos and colour to suitable apparel. We match the finish to the fabric and intended use.

03 / The details

Wear the story.
Know the details.

Our original badges bring the research behind your clothing into focus. Materials, people, making and packaging: each has a story.

Look for the badges on individual garments and ask us about the information behind them.

Eliminate / Sustainable sourcing

Better choices start
before the first stitch.

We assess where products come from, who makes them and the journey they take. Investing care early helps us aim to eliminate waste before it occurs.

01 / Raw materials

Start with the source.

We take a holistic approach, beginning with organic cotton, recycled polyester and other considered fibres. Working with suppliers helps us understand how materials are produced and which sourcing choices are right for a collection.

02 / The journey

Every delivery is part of the story.

Our sourcing approach includes DHL GoGreen for international logistics, with measurement and offset options for orders. Local delivery and emissions tracking remain areas we work to improve with logistics partners.

LUCKE packaging materials

03 / The packaging

Only what the journey needs.

We aim to minimise packaging and keep exploring better options: home-compostable courier bags, recycled card, wheat-straw and recycled-wood labels, and recycled paper tape printed with soy-based inks.

04 / Garment care

A good story
keeps going.

Wear it. Care for it. Keep it in use.

Wear it for longer

Designed to stay in rotation.

Timeless design, considered fabrics and appropriate branding support a longer working life. Following the garment’s care instructions helps keep it looking and performing well.

Send it with care

The journey matters too.

We work to reduce unnecessary packaging and explore recycled paper and compostable packaging options. Shipping and packaging remain areas of ongoing research and improvement.

Choose for the job

The right fit for everyday use.

Choose fabrics, fits and decoration methods around how your team will wear them. We can help you compare the options before you order.
