Our sustainability badges

Good choices.
Clearer stories.

We created our badges to share the research behind our products. They bring the material, the maker and the process into view, so you can choose what matters to you.

The detail behind the mark

A little symbol.
A lot of consideration.

Explore the individual badges below. Each refers to a product attribute or process: the details depend on the product you choose.

LUCKE badges explain product attributes. Independent certifications verify specific standards. Our badges are our own guide, not certification marks. A product may carry some badges and not others. We’ll help you check material content, sourcing information and any applicable independent certifications for the products in your quote.

LUCKE Organic cotton badge

Organic cotton

Care starts with how the crop is grown.

Behind this badge

Organic cotton is grown without the harmful chemicals associated with conventional cotton production. The growing process matters to the people working the land, the environment and the people who wear the finished clothing.

Our organic cotton range prioritises Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) or Organic Content Standard (OCS) options. Confirm the certification for your selected product.

LUCKE Recycled plastic badge

Recycled plastic

An existing resource, back in circulation.

Behind this badge

Recovered plastic is processed into recycled yarn. It gives a used material another purpose in apparel, with stretch fibres sometimes added to suit the garment.

Check the recycled percentage and Global Recycled Standard (GRS) information for the product.

LUCKE Ethically sourced badge

Ethically sourced

The people behind the product matter.

Behind this badge

When this badge appears, we have looked into the product’s supply chain. Our original badge criteria include Fair Trade or Fair Wear certification, or production in a trusted European factory operating under regulated wage and workplace standards.

Ask which sourcing route applies to your chosen garment and what supporting information is available.

LUCKE Eco-friendly printing badge

Eco-friendly printing

A considered finish for your design.

Behind this badge

Our printing story includes sublimation, where colour is transferred into suitable fabric. We consider water use, ink safety, waste and durability alongside the quality of the finished design.

The original badge criteria reference OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100. Ask us about the inks, process and scope for your selected finish.

LUCKE Compostable packaging badge

Compostable packaging

Consider what happens after delivery.

Behind this badge

Our packaging approach includes home-compostable courier bags. We keep looking for lower-impact options across the supply chain, including compostable or biodegradable packaging offered by suppliers.

Follow the disposal instructions on the actual packaging. Home-compostable and biodegradable describe different things.

LUCKE Recycled materials badge

Recycled materials

Keep useful resources in use.

Behind this badge

This badge highlights recycled inputs in a product. Our range includes recycled plastic and recycled cotton, giving materials another opportunity to become something useful.

Check the garment’s composition, recycled content and any supporting certification.

LUCKE Recycled packaging badge

Recycled packaging

A second chapter for paper and plastic.

Behind this badge

Packaging made from recycled paper or plastic uses recovered material. We consider the packaging around the product as part of its overall journey.

Check the material and local recycling guidance for the packaging you receive.

Transparency matters

Understand the badge.
Know your garment.

Our badges simplify the story. The information behind them gives that story substance.

We link material and production claims back to supporting certifications wherever possible. A LUCKE badge is our guide to a product attribute; independent certification has its own criteria and scope.

When you shortlist a garment, we can help explain its composition, source, production process and relevant certification. It’s part of making the better choice easier.
